Why your old bedding matters

What can I donate?

Many shelters accept new or clean, gently used bedding: sheets, blankets, duvet covers and pillowcases. Used pillows and used mattresses are commonly refused for hygiene reasons. Wash and dry everything, fold it, and call ahead, because every shelter is different.

Does it have to be Cosy House bedding?

No. Any brand is welcome, as long as it’s clean and the shelter accepts it.

Do you check that I donated?

No. The give-back program runs on the honor system. We trust you.

What should I photograph?

The folded bedding, or the spot where you dropped it off. Please never photograph people at the shelter. After you drop off, add your photo in the last step of the form at the top of this page.

What do you do with my email?

We only keep your name, email and ZIP if you tick the box to get Cosy House emails, and you can unsubscribe any time. Otherwise they’re only used on this page, to show your code and point you to shelters near your ZIP.

Do I have to buy anything to give back?
